Book a free consultation through our website or call us at (877) 638-0707. We start with a diagnostic assessment to understand your baseline, then build a personalized study plan tailored to your goals, target test date, and schedule.

Our staff learns about your child’s personality, learning style, and preferences, then matches you with a compatible tutor from our team. If the match isn’t right, we’ll replace the tutor and repeat the session at no charge.
📈 How long does it usually take to see progress?
You’ll typically notice positive changes at home and in school within a few weeks. We provide regular quizzes and full-length practice tests, and your tutor shares a report after each session so you can track improvement over time.

A team member will contact you within 48 hours of your purchase to confirm details and introduce your assigned tutor. Your tutor will then reach out to schedule your first session at a time that fits your family’s calendar.

Where, when, and how tutoring happens
🏠 Where do tutoring sessions take place?
Private tutoring is typically held at your home (with a parent present), at a local library, or at a coffee shop — whatever’s most convenient for your family. We also offer fully online sessions via a live video platform with screen sharing and a digital whiteboard.
💻 Is online tutoring as effective as in-person?
Yes. Our online sessions use a live video platform with screen sharing and an interactive whiteboard, so the experience is just as engaging as sitting side-by-side. Online sessions also offer greater scheduling flexibility for busy families and students in other cities.
📅 How flexible is scheduling?
Very. We offer weekday evenings, weekend mornings, and afternoons — whatever fits around school, sports, and family time. Sessions are booked weekly with your assigned tutor.
⏳ How long is each session and how many should we book?
Test-prep sessions are typically 90 minutes to 2 hours. Most students prep for 3–8 months of weekly sessions; for grad tests like GMAT and GRE, 8–16 weeks is common. The exact number depends on your goals, starting score, and test date — we’ll help you build a realistic schedule during your free consultation.
📝 How much homework should we expect per week?
Depending on your goal, expect 1–5 hours of homework per week between sessions. Test prep is a serious long-term endeavor, and consistent practice between sessions is the biggest predictor of score improvement.
🔄 What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Life happens, and we work with families to keep tutoring on track — the 24-hour window helps us give your tutor’s time to another student when needed.

🎓 Who are Victory Prep’s tutors?
All of our tutors are college graduates from top universities who scored in the 98th percentile or higher on the tests they teach. Many are current graduate students or professionals in fields like medicine, engineering, and law. Meet them on our Instructors page.
👨🏫 Will we work with the same tutor throughout the process?
Yes. We believe strong rapport between student and tutor is essential, so we keep the same tutor from start to finish. If the match ever isn’t right, we’ll switch you at no cost.
🎯 What kind of training do your tutors go through?
Every tutor completes rigorous internal training on the specific test they teach, including our proprietary curriculum, test-day strategy, and pacing. They’re also trained on how to build a personalized study plan for each student rather than following a generic script.
🔐 Do tutors go through background checks?
Yes. Every Victory Prep tutor completes a background check before working with students. Parent safety and peace of mind are non-negotiable for us.

SAT & ACT
Format, materials, essays, and score improvement
🧾 Which test should my child take — SAT or ACT?
It depends on your child’s strengths. The digital SAT is shorter and adaptive; the ACT includes a Science section and moves at a faster pace. Try our free SAT vs ACT Diagnostic Quiz to find out which test fits best, or talk to us during your consultation.
📱 What is the current SAT format?
The SAT is now fully digital, about 2 hours 14 minutes long, and adaptive at the module level. It has two sections — Reading & Writing, and Math — all multiple-choice. Calculators are allowed for the entire Math section. See our full SAT Guide for a breakdown.
📋 What is on the ACT?
The ACT has English, Math, Reading, and Science sections, with an optional Writing (Essay) section. It’s offered in both paper and online formats. See our full ACT Guide for section-by-section details.
✍ Do you cover the SAT or ACT essay?
The SAT Essay is discontinued for nearly all students (only some state School Day SATs still include it). The ACT Writing section is optional. We offer targeted essay coaching for students who need it, plus help with college application essays.
📚 Do you provide practice tests and study materials?
♿️ Do you help with test-day accommodations?
Yes. Students with documented disabilities can apply for accommodations such as extended time, extra breaks, or assistive technology. We’ll help you understand the process, and we recommend contacting your school’s SSD coordinator (SAT) or ACT accommodations office to submit the request.

ISEE
Private school admissions test prep
🎒 What are the ISEE levels and how do you tailor prep to each?
The ISEE has four levels: Primary (Grades 2–4), Lower (Grades 5–6), Middle (Grades 7–8), and Upper (Grades 9–12). Our tutors tailor every session to the correct level and to the specific target schools your child is applying to.
📄 What sections are on the ISEE?
The ISEE consists of Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Mathematics Achievement, and an unscored essay. Each section tests specific skills relevant to independent school admissions.
📆 How many times can my child take the ISEE?
Students can take the ISEE up to three times per year during the Fall (Aug–Nov), Winter (Dec–Mar), and Spring/Summer (Apr–Jul) testing windows. We recommend spacing attempts at least 8 weeks apart to give time for meaningful improvement between sittings.
✏️ Do you include ISEE essay coaching?
Yes. All ISEE plans include essay coaching focused on brainstorming, structure, and timed practice to help students excel in the ISEE essay section — which admissions officers read even though it’s unscored.

GMAT & GRE
Graduate school admissions test prep
💼 What is the current GMAT format?
The GMAT Focus Edition launched in late 2023. It has three sections — Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and Data Insights — with scores ranging from 205 to 805. It’s section-adaptive, and you can choose the order in which you take the sections.
🎓 What is on the GRE?
The GRE measures verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and analytical writing. Combined scores range from 260 to 340, with each section scored from 130 to 170. It’s required or accepted for admission to many graduate and professional programs.
💪 How much score improvement can I expect on GMAT or GRE?
GMAT students see an average improvement of around 80 points, with many students improving by 60–100 points or more. GRE students see an average combined score improvement of 8–12 points, with many improving by 15 or more. Results depend on your starting score, study time, and commitment.
⌛ How long should I prepare for GMAT or GRE?
Most students benefit from 8–16 weeks of focused preparation. Your exact timeline depends on your starting score, target score, and how many hours per week you can dedicate to studying. We’ll help you build a realistic schedule during your consultation.
📚 Do graduate programs still require the GRE or GMAT?
Many still require or accept these tests. Some programs have made them optional, but a strong score can strengthen your application and may qualify you for merit-based scholarships. We’ll help you strategize based on your target programs’ requirements.

How our packages, refunds, and score guarantee work
✅ Is there a satisfaction or score improvement guarantee?
Yes. We offer a 60-Day Satisfaction Guarantee. If, within 60 days of your purchase, you are not satisfied with your tutoring experience, you may request a refund for any unused tutoring hours (calculated on a prorated basis, less an administrative fee and the cost of curriculum materials provided). While we cannot guarantee specific scores, our programs are designed to help every student achieve their best possible results. See our full Guarantee Policy.
💼 Are curriculum and materials included in the price?
Yes. All required course materials — our proprietary curriculum, practice exercises, and diagnostic tests — are included in your package. Additional full-length practice exams can be added depending on your plan.
🔁 What if I buy too many hours or my plans change?
Unused hours are valid for 2 years from the date of purchase. Within that window they can be applied to any test we offer (SAT, ACT, ISEE, GMAT, GRE, TSI, PSAT, or academic subjects), used for admissions consulting, or transferred to a sibling or family friend. Just call us and we’ll help you re-plan.
🖊️ How do I register for the SAT or ACT?
Register for the SAT through College Board and for the ACT through act.org. Test dates fill up, so we recommend registering at least 6–8 weeks in advance. See our SAT and ACT guides for upcoming test dates.
