About the Instructor
I joined Victory Step after five years in the oil industry. Since I taught previously, it was a good opportunity to get back to education, which I have always enjoyed, and be able spend time with my baby girl. Tutoring and teaching, for me, has always been about seeing a student make connections for the first time, to integrate the 'what' in with 'why' and understand. Most of my tutoring focus is in SAT and ACT prep, giving me a broad range of topics to cover, and I have also worked with students in chemistry, pre-calculus, and essay composition. Students appreciate that, with deadlines looming on test dates, I spend most of our time together shoring up their weaker subjects to try and get scores up as much as possible, and that there are no stupid questions or anything which I assume they should already know.

Favorite Joke
A Roman Legionairy walks into a bar and asks for a martinus. The bartender says "You mean a martini?" The Legionairy replies "Listen buddy, if I wanted a double, I would have asked for one." - Sorry. Cross-lingual puns are too funny not to share.
