About the Instructor
Hello! My name is Andres and I am a recent Engineering graduate from The University of Texas at Austin. I have enjoyed tutoring numerous peers and colleagues throughout college and high school in STEM related courses. I joined Victory Step to assist high school students in my area of specialty: SAT and ACT test prepping. I deeply understand their respective structure, timing and importance. Every students’ learning style is different and adjusting to them properly is what I do best. I am very familiar with the college application process and know what they are searching for. I do my best to be a tutor, and mentor consistently until test day and after. My goal is not to just teach them how to ace this specific exam, but to carry on this level of critical thinking into future college classes. Outside of academia, I enjoy playing basketball and No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em on a highly competitive level. Occasionally, I do binge watch a few Netflix series but as of now my two all-time favorite shows are ‘Rick and Morty’ and ‘Breaking Bad’. Since I am a fresh graduate, students find me relatable and easier to listen to. Nonetheless, I am highly disciplined and strict when the work demands it. I have competed for the UT Petrobowl team in Dubai, U.A.E. and have studied in the Netherlands during a summer session.
