About the Instructor
I absolutely LOVE math and LOVE to help others! I am a certified 5th-12th grade math teacher, with three years of classroom experience, two years online teaching experience, and more than five years of one-on-one and small group teaching/tutoring experience. I offer gentle correction of mistakes and a calm, welcoming learning environment. I believe that increased confidence in math skill translates into other areas of life, especially where challenge and adversity are involved. I joined Victory Step to reach more students than I can on my own. When I’m not tutoring, I’m caring for my two young children, crocheting, or engaging in home improvement projects. I have always had an aptitude for math, science, grammar, spelling… anything that has rules or an algorithm to follow. I attended the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics for my junior and senior years of high school. I also took the ACT seven or eight times! I believe that makes me well qualified to help your student achieve his or her academic goals. I can’t wait to meet you!
