About the Instructor
My name is Anish and I've been a tutor for over 10 years. It runs in the family for me, with my mom recently retiring as the head of a large private primary school after working as a teacher for over 30 years and training me to be as effective at teaching as she was. Having never been a traditional teacher, I instead specialize in working with high-school-age kids taking IB/IGCSE/AP coursework in STEM courses and Economics, Computer Science and BusinessMangement, as well as standardized tests like the SAT and ACT. I also specialize in working with kids who are special needs, including those with dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and ADD, among other learning disorders. My approach to tutoring is distinct from that of a formally trained instructor and relies on both developing effective techniques to cope and catch up with classroom material and ultimately improving outcomes, whether through better grades or better performance in class. A little bit about me - I obtained my bachelor's degree in Computer Science and an MBA at private university in India; I moved back to the US 3 years ago to live and work in Dallas, and I'm currently enrolled part-time in a second masters degree in Business Analytics and Data Science at the University of Texas of Dallas.
