About the Instructor
Hello! My name is Macy and teaching has appealed to me since as early as middle school. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin where I studied Chinese Linguistics. I enjoy playing the piano, walking through antique shops, and taking care of my cat, Taxi! What I value most in being a tutor is actively fostering curiosity in students to help them enjoy learning throughout life. My favorite teaching experience (before Victory Prep!) was working as an English Teaching Assistant at a Taiwanese elementary school; it encouraged me to reshape my approach to prioritize enthusiasm, empathy, and patience with all students. At Victory Prep, I look forward to helping students not only delve deeper into their favorite school subject, but find excitement in every subject!
